VRParty is a VR-focused Mastodon instance, Mastodon is an open-source federated micro-blogging platform with a similar feel to Twitter. Learn more about Mastodon on their official website joinmastodon.org.

The instance is focused on VR but non-vr related content is allowed.

Why?

Why make VRParty? My reason for making VRP is that I noticed that there are not many VR-focused instances that exist on the Fediverse, and the ones that do exist are mostly dead and catered to AR or MR with the exception of the Baka.social instance but that is only for VRC creators. I wanted something that matches the VR “culture” in the way I envision it. A place that does not aim for some alternative “metaverse” when it’s already here. VRChat, Resonite, CVR, and many more already exist. I want to be able to bring together the communities that exist on these platforms and give people a place to go other than X(Twitter).

Covenant

VRParty follows the Mastodon Server Covenant, in the event of a shutdown, users will be alerted 3 months ahead of time in order to migrate their accounts off of VRParty.social.

Staff

At the moment I, @Reno am the only staff member.

Only content posted by users with “@vrparty.social” in their username is managed by this server. If you find infringing material from a user on our server, make sure it is not covered by Fair Use, then send your takedown request to this instance’s admin email ([hello] @ [vrparty.social]).
